See DuoGen at Beaulieu Boatworld

If you live around the Southampton area (or even if you don’t!) come and meet the DuoGen team and see a demonstration of DuoGen at Beaulieu Boatworld on Sunday 27th April.
This is a new area of the annual Beaulieu Boat Jumble, dedicated to new equipment and clothing, as well as trailerable yachts, dinghies and motor boats.
There is also the opportunity to pick up lots of bargains at one of the largest Boat Jumbles in the country, and if you’re looking for a second-hand boat, there’s the Boat Mart.
Entrance is £7.00 (adult) and £4.00 (child) on the day, but cheaper if you book in advance, and includes access to all the Beaulieu attractions as well as Boat Jumble and Boatworld.
So make a day of it, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For ticket information visit www.beaulieu.co.uk or phone 01590 612888.

DuoGen – not just for yachts

We are very excited to be one of the equipment manufacturers sponsoring the next Ocean Challenge by the intrepid Jim Shekhdar.
He was the first man to row across the Pacific Ocean, alone and without help, in 2000 / 2001.
Now, he is planning a much more daring voyage, rowing from New Zealand to Cape Town, crossing the South Pacific, the South Atlantic and the icy Southern Ocean! Again, he will be alone and unaided.
He and his technical team are planning to use DuoGen (wind mode only) to provide power for essential equipment. They also plan to incorporate DuoGen into the design of the rowboat such that the heat dissipated from the alternator is channeled into the dry cabin where Jim will rest and sleep.
“Hopefully there is going to be enough power to keep me relatively warm and dry,” says Jim.
It is, of course, DuoGen’s unique configuration (i.e. having the alternator at deck level) that makes this application possible.
Jim plans to leave New Zealand on 31st August this year. You can follow his preparations and voyage by visiting www.oc2003.com

EXPORT WINNERS

Eclectic Energy Limited, manufacturer of DuoGen, was recently the Nottinghamshire winner in the East Midlands Awards 2003
for Export Success.
The Award was presented by HRH The Duke of York at a prestigious dinner held at Pride Park Stadium in Derby.
This was organised by Trade Partners UK, a government body which supports small businesses with all issues to do with export.

Thanks to our web site, and the international appeal of our product, we have always had a lot of interest in DuoGen from all over the world, and we expect this to grow.

After all, DuoGen is a product that exports itself!
