It's official!
DuoGen represents a step forward compared to other wind/water
battery chargers!
100% of the yachtsmen and women who filled in our product
questionnaire can't be wrong!
The results of the questionnaire confirmed what we (and probably
you) would expect.
Yachts, especially those that do more extended sailing, do
carry a lot of electrical equipment, and most switch off some
of that equipment on passage to conserve power.
All our respondents think that supplementary battery chargers
are useful or essential, yet most rely on their engines and
shore power to charge their batteries.
Existing wind generators are considered noisy and not productive
enough, and water generators, with their long tow ropes, too
troublesome to deploy.
DuoGen does provide a practical, efficient solution.

Sailing Today GROUP TEST of Wind Generators
If you've not yet seen Tim Bartlett's report in the August edition,
it's well worth reading, and not just because DuoGen wins a Premium
Product Award!
The article sets out to discuss "what you should consider when
buying a wind generator, and what you can reasonably expect it to
do for you."
A detailed discussion of the wind generators currently on the market,
from trickle chargers to the most powerful, points up all the pros
and cons, and, in doing so, manages to underline many of DuoGen's
benefits. (See our web site
for a selection of Tim's remarks about DuoGen.)

DuoGen in 'Field' testDuoGen, in both modes
this time, is being put to an extended 'field' test in the next
couple of months, installed on a yacht belonging to another of Sailing
Today's testers. The editorial staff are planning to include DuoGen
in a series of reports, starting with installation, so look out
for those later in the year.
