Congratulations to Ellen MacArthur on her record-breaking circumnavigation!

Ellen reports that one of her main problems during the 70 day voyage was lack of electrical power. The whole attempt was placed in jeopardy at one point when her main diesel generator failed.
This highlights how important power production is to a successful passage, whether you’re out to break records or not!

Speaking of the London Boat Show, if you went along to ExCel in January, you may have thought that the Show was a little quieter than last year, in spite of its being an excellent show with lots to see and do.
It is true that visitor numbers were down by nearly one third. However, many exhibitors reported doing very good business. We certainly had 25% more visitors to our stand than last year (or the previous year), and took lots of orders.
If you came to see us on Stand S2410, thank you very much. It was good to meet you.
And if you are planning to send us pictures of the stern of your yacht, seeking Pete’s expert advice on installation, we look forward to receiving them, by e-mail or post.
