Eclectic Energy Limited was invited
to exhibit its new D400 wind turbine at the 5th annual Parliamentary
Reception, hosted by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in London
on 21st February.
In addition to being the best in its class for mounting in off-mains
locations, on boats and caravans etc, the D400 is the ideal machine
for an emerging application where small wind turbines are installed,
singly or in multiples, on buildings. This was the focus of the
exhibition at the Reception.
The theme of the evening was “ Energy in a Changing Climate”,
and it was timed to follow an earlier event in the Houses of Parliament
marking the recent implementation of the Kyoto Protocol.
The Institute’s showcase was to demonstrate how the skills,
ingenuity and creative potential of mechanical engineers can make
a vital contribution to protecting our climate from the threat posed
by global warming.
Eclectic plans to see a lot of its ‘Roof Rotors’
deployed on buildings in the future. If you

exciting application, check out the
